Rules & Terms
As a gesture of kindness to other vendors and customers, please refrain from using hairspray (at the show) or fragrances on your person.
Please begin packing up after the show has ended, not 5 mins or so before. Beginning to pack up early negatively affects other vendors as well as last-minute customers.
Items you did not create or creatively alter significantly by hand are not allowed. They must have involved a certain level of handiwork and creativity, which vary depending on the item. For example, you must be the designer of the images used for sublimation or heat-pressed transfers. You must be the author of any books you're selling.
Made by Me Market is family-friendly. X-rated and other inappropriate (sexual, rude, obscene, etc.) products may not be displayed.
No sharing of your booth spot without permission. Not even a single item.
Photography, prints, and sublimation/vinyl must be of your original photos or artwork. 3-D printed objects have to be either designed by you, and/or assembled/painted by your hand.
Please do not bring anything that you have not been approved to sell. You will be required to remove items which were not approved. This is done to ensure a wide variety, and fair competition for all. Approved items in different colours and sizes are OK.
If you are to omit anything from your selling list, please tell the coordinator immediately. This will enable her to provide the best booth placements for everyone, including you. It will also enable another vendor to sell in that category.
The ability to order items outside your selling list is not permitted without permission. Please also do not promote other items that you make or services you offer without permission.
Please do not initiate conversation with shoppers who are at someone else's booth.
You have paid for a space of certain parameters – please be considerate of other vendors and use only the space you have been assigned.
Please do not move your tent or provided table sideways.
Your table must be covered with a cloth or banner to the floor. A tablecloth will help ensure that your table looks inviting to customers. Please use the space under your table to store your bins and boxes of extra products or bags, etc.
Please do not advertise other shows at your booth. It is OK to include a list of your upcoming shows in your merchandise bags, or to collect customers' contact info to inform them of shows you'll be at.
Handwritten paper or whiteboard signs larger than 8" x 10" are not permitted.
There are some wonderful volunteers; they are here to help with our shows. They are able to assist you by watching your table while you take a break or if you want to do a quick walk-around to shop. Please note that they are here to assist all vendors and as such they should not be asked to leave the show (to run errands, get coffee, etc.).
Violating rules results in one or more of the following:
- Having to pass a quiz to participate again
- Financial penalty when you apply to participate again
- Forfeit of your privilege to participate in Made by Me Market and to avail yourself of related services (incl. Facebook groups).
- Being removed from the show by the police
There are no refunds unless your spot or the show was cancelled by the coordinator.
Cancellation due to rule breakage or your behaviour results in no refunds (including for future shows booked).
Photos and videos of you and/or your products may be published. This includes photos/videos we take of you as well as photos from your application.
